EFFICIENT ICU
The intensive care units (ICU) of 13 hospitals of the D’Or São Luiz Network were awarded, in 2019, with the Efficient ICU certification granted by the Epimed Monitor System, which aims to encourage and evaluate clinical outcomes with more efficient allocation of resources in the care of critically ill patients.
TOP PERFORMER ICU’s
In the year, ICU’s of 12 hospitals of the Rede D’Or São Luiz received the Top Performer seal for the best clinical results achieved with the most efficient allocation of resources in the care of critically ill patients. The seal is awarded ICU’s throughout the country that have high performance, based on the Efficiency Matrix.
3M CERTIFICATIONS
The Hospitals of the Rede D’Or São Luiz are recognized by the Certification in Best Practices Related to Quality Assurance of 3M in Brazil:
SAFE FIXING OF CATHETERS
26 hospitals (11 in Rio de Janeiro, eight in São Paulo, three in Brasília, three in Pernambuco and one in Maranhão) were recognized in 2019, evidencing compliance with best practices in health care with regard to recommendations for safe fixation of venous accesses, preventing complications such as infiltration, displacement and extravasation with consequent damage to the vein, catheter loss and even infections.
QUALITY IN SKIN PREPARATION AND NORMOTHERMIA
Quality Certification in Skin Preparation and Normothermia was granted to 14 hospitals (seven in São Paulo, four in Rio de Janeiro, two in Federal District Federal and one in Recife), ensuring good practices in the surgical process.
PREVENTION OF SKIN LESIONS
Excellence in the quality of patient care and safety was recognized in 17 hospitals (five in São Paulo, five in Rio de Janeiro, four in Recife, three in the Federal District), in the program Skin Injury Prevention, which evaluates the protocols and actions adopted by care teams in the prevention of injuries and maintenance of skin integrity.
CLEANING AND STERILIZATION
Certification of Good Practices in Quality Assured Cleaning and Sterilization in 13 hospitals (six in São Paulo, four in Rio de Janeiro, two in Recife and one in Federal District). The result is the recognition of the work developed by the teams to ensure the effectiveness of cleaning processes, preparation of articles, sterilization, guarding and distribution of articles, among others.
100 MOST INFLUENTIAL HEALTH
Dr. Paulo Hoff, the company’s leader in oncology, was voted one of the most influential people of 2018 in the References category of the 100 Most Influential Health Award of 2019 (Grupo Mídia). The same award elected Jorge Moll Filho, the company’s founder and chairman of the board, as one of the most influential in the Entrepreneur category.

Rede D’Or São Luiz was elected in 2019 Company of the Year in Valor 1000 award, by the newspaper Valor Econômico; Company of the Year in the Biggest & Best (Maiores & Melhores) award 2019, by Exame magazine; and the Health Company of 2019 in Estadão Empresas Mais award, by O Estado de S. Paulo newspaper.
ISS RECIFE AWARD
The ISS Recife award appointed in September 2019 the largest tax payers of the year. Hospital Esperança, owned by Rede D’Or São Luiz in Recife, was the largest contributor in the city.

March
The company received an award in recognition of the best original scientific work, with the group’s fainting management program, presented at the EHRA – European Heart Rhythm Association Congress in Lisbon.
November
The company received the Health Care Climate Challenge 2019 Climate Leadership Award, promoted by the NGO Health Care Without Harm.

Quality is one of the pillars of the business strategy of Rede D’Or São Luiz. To ensure excellence in the provision of services we adopt Hospital Accreditation as one of the monitoring tools.
Hospital Accreditation is an external evaluation process conducted by independent organizations. The support of hospitals is voluntary, and the objective is to examine the quality of the services provided and identify possible risks to the patient.
The greatest recognition that a health institution can receive is accreditation certificates. Certificates are issued by Brazilian organizations, such as the National Accreditation Organization (ONA) and international organizations, such as Accreditation Canada and the Joint Commission International (JCI).
The achievement of accreditation is a guarantee of quality, safety and humanization in patient care and care.
